Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-10-11

This policy explains what WireAds collects, why, who it is shared with and the rights you have over your information — on this website and across our advertising platform.

About this policy

WireAds operates an advertising platform that connects publishers and advertisers through a single unified auction, plus this website (wireads.com). WireAds, 944 N King St, Wilmington, DE 19801, US is the data controller for information described in this policy, except where we process end-user data strictly on a publisher's or advertiser's documented instructions — in that case the publisher or advertiser is the controller and WireAds acts as a service provider or processor, as set out in our Data Processing Agreement.

This policy covers information we collect through this website, through our business processes (for example onboarding, support and payments) and through the ad tags and platform infrastructure that serve advertising. It does not override any terms agreed in a separate contract with you, which prevail where they conflict.

Information we collect

Business information you give us: name, email address, company, properties or apps, traffic profile and the content of messages you send through our contact form, demo requests, support channels and partnership applications. If you request a newsletter, we store your email address until you unsubscribe. If you hold a platform or dashboard account, we process your account credentials and settings.

Platform and technical information: when our tags run on publisher inventory or our infrastructure serves requests, we and our partners may process identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies (such as cookie IDs and mobile advertising IDs), IP addresses, device and browser characteristics, approximate location derived from IP address, page URLs and content categories, timestamps, bid and auction metadata, and data about ad impressions, clicks, viewability and conversions. We also keep server logs for security and troubleshooting.

How we use information

We use business information to respond to enquiries, evaluate and onboard partners, operate accounts, deliver support, send service and marketing communications (with opt-out at any time), issue invoices and process payments, and comply with legal obligations. We use platform and technical information to run the unified auction, serve and render advertising, cap ad frequency, measure viewability, attribute conversions, detect invalid traffic and fraud, protect our systems, model outcomes where signals are unavailable, and produce aggregate reporting such as estimated revenue.

We do not use your information to build profiles of individually identified end users for purposes unrelated to advertising delivery and measurement, and we do not sell business contact information.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website and our advertising tags use cookies, pixels, software development kits and similar technologies to remember preferences, keep the site working, measure performance and support advertising. Full details — including the categories we use, how long they last and how to control them — are set out in our Cookie Policy.

Where local law requires it, we obtain consent before setting non-essential cookies and honour signals such as Global Privacy Control.

How we share information

Service providers: hosting and content delivery (including Cloudflare), email delivery (including Resend), analytics, CRM, payment and accounting providers, each bound by contract to process data only on our instructions. Advertising ecosystem participants: where a publisher enables WireAds on their inventory, bid requests containing the technical data described above may be shared with demand partners such as exchanges, supply-side integrations, demand-side platforms, agencies, advertisers and measurement vendors so they can bid on and evaluate the impression — that is the core function of an auction.

We also share information: within the WireAds group of entities for the purposes in this policy; in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, with notice as required by law; where disclosure is necessary to comply with law, legal process or a regulator; to enforce our agreements; and with your consent. We do not share information in ways not described here.

Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described. Typical periods: business correspondence and enquiries up to 24 months; newsletter data until you unsubscribe; platform reporting and transaction records as needed for billing, audits and tax law, generally up to 7 years for financial records; ad-serving log and bid data used for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention up to 13 months, after which it is deleted or irreversibly aggregated. Where a longer period is required by law or an ongoing dispute, we retain the minimum necessary.

Cookie and identifier lifetimes are listed in the Cookie Policy and generally do not exceed 13 months.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct or delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. California residents have additional rights described on our CCPA page. EEA and UK residents should also see our GDPR page.

To exercise any right, email privacy@wireads.com. We verify requests where necessary and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. You can also opt out of marketing email via the unsubscribe link in any message, manage cookies as described in the Cookie Policy, and use industry opt-out tools such as those operated by the DAA, NAI and EDAA, or your mobile device's advertising settings.

International data transfers

WireAds operates from the United States and works with partners worldwide, so information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we rely on an adequacy decision where available and otherwise on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK Addendum or IDTA and Swiss adaptations where applicable), supplemented by technical and organisational safeguards such as encryption in transit and access controls.

Because real-time bidding is a global process, a bid request may be evaluated by buyers in multiple jurisdictions within milliseconds. Our Data Processing Agreement and the GDPR page describe the transfer mechanisms that apply to platform data.

Data security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored business data, role-based access controls with least privilege, multi-factor authentication for internal systems, monitoring and logging, and periodic review of our security practices. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; we do commit to notifying affected parties and regulators where and when required by law.

Children's privacy

Our website and services are directed to businesses, not to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. Publishers who use WireAds are responsible for the lawfulness of the inventory they monetise, including compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act where US child-directed content is involved: tags must not be enabled on child-directed properties in a manner that collects personal information without valid consent, and we require publishers to configure such properties accordingly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, partners or law. When we do, we revise the last-updated date above and, for material changes affecting our partners, provide more prominent notice such as email or dashboard notification. Your continued use of the website or platform after an update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
